The McGill Surface Engineering and Tribology Laboratory has two (2) immediate openings for post-doctoral fellows. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in materials engineering or a related field (e.g. physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering). Both positions will conduct research on topics related to cold spray, thermal spray, material characterization, mechanical testing and tribology testing. These opportunities give the candidates the opportunity to join an active, diverse and dynamic research team. The specific projects also will give the experience of collaborating with industry and government lab scientists and engineers to solve applied problems. Priority will be given to candidates that are Canadian, Canadian permanent resident or a holder of an eligible work visa in Canada. Interested candidates may use the "Contact us" link on this webpage to send an expression of interest that should include two paragraphs describing how your recent experience matches the position. Those applications matching well the position will be contacted with further details.

Sir,
Greetings
Reference to the mentioned advertisement , I would like to express my interest for the mentioned position..
I did my Ph.D. , thesis entitled “ Laser Surface Texturing on Engineering Materiials” In this work the laser texturing was conducted on Titanium alloy and Ceramic to understand the surface morphology and behaviour of the material after texturing . The AFM, XRD, SEM, EDX characterisation was performed to understand the same. Further, Parametric analysis was done based on design of experiments and MCDM method was applied to obtain the best parametric combination..
The paper was published in following journals
