Duplex surface engineering uses two different surface modification or coating techniques to achieve unique properties not possible with one technique alone. We combine "thick" coating techniques like cold spray with "thin" coating techniques like PVD to address the most challenging surface engineering problems, such as surface protection of materials for long-term space exploration.
